カリフォルニア州、モントレイにて開催された1970年の第7回目ビッグ・サー・フォーク・フェスティバル1970年ののライヴ盤。入手盤は71年にキングからリリースされた日本盤。米盤に付属していたブックレットの日本語対訳も付いています。
中村とうようさんのライナーから引用すると、カリフォルニアにある Big Sur でフォーク・フェスティヴァルが最初に開かれたのは64年のことで、71年まで毎年、計８回開催されています。もともとはジョーン・バエズが中心となった小規模の金儲けを目的としない私的な集まりだったものが、69年の第6回が「Celebration」のタイトルでドキュメンタリー映画が制作され、これによってこのフェスティヴァルが注目を浴び当時Odeレコードの社主だった商売人ルー・アドラーが運営に参画し始めたのがこの70年の第7回で、ビーチ・ボーイズやリンダ・ロンシュタットの出演等、前年までとはガラリと性格変わってしまい翌71年で幕を下ろすことになってしまいます。
