一時期はあれだけ出ていたSurfin系のコンピ、さすがにネタが付きたか最近は目新しいのとは遭遇しなくなっていました。ということで、久し振りに出会ったコレ。80年代半ばにVol.1が出ていた「Surfin' in The Midwest」、なんと2005年にVol.4が出ていました！ ジャケットデザインも随分と洗練されたものになっちゃって(笑)

そもそも海のない中西部にこんなにサーフバンドが存在したというのが驚きなのですが、それを良くこれだけ集めた(だけでなく各バンドのインフォもバッチリ)ものだと大袈裟ではなく驚愕のシリーズ、玉石混交というなかれ、サーフインスト・ファンにはマストです。
